Media Release - Tunstall Park Boating Lake Collapse

Following receipt of a report on 24 April 2013 of a collapse affecting the boating lake at Tunstall Park, the Coal Authority has worked in partnership with Stoke-on-Trent City Council, the Environment Agency and the emergency services to ensure that public safety and the environment was protected. At the time of the incident even though there are no records of coal mining at the location it was suspected to be the cause.
