Extracts from The National Coal Mining Database.

The Authority can provide third-parties with information extracts from its digital coal mining database for the purpose of engineering, technical or academic studies. Standard conditions of supply are applicable.

  • Underground Workings Database (also includes closed colliery workings)
  • Mine Entry Database
  • Probable Working Database
  • Underground Roadways Database
  • Licensed Underground Roadways Database
  • Unlicensed Opencast Workings Database
  • Licence Areas Database (excluding Exploration/CBM/S25)
  • Non-Coal Mining Areas - (under construction - coming soon)
     

Coverage:

  • UK

Format:

  • GIS Polygon, line, point data (ESRI, MapInfo, others available by request)

How much will I pay?

Existing data pricing algorithm for internal non-commercial business and desk study use:

  • Initial supply = £{[(£500/8 hours x effort to provide in hours) + (number of mining features)]x 1.25% (administration, operational maintenance and data load cost)} (+ VAT)
     
  • Annual continued use payment = as initial supply / 4 (subject to RPI annual increase) + VAT
